PORT HARCOURT –  NIGERIANS have been told to ignore call by the Save Nigeria Group, SNG, led by Pastor Tunde Bakare, to protest in support of the subsidy probe.

President, South-South Youth Leaders, Mr. Odiedum Amachree, said Nigerians should be patient to get to the end of the probe as some aspects of it were being challenged.

He said: “The silent question to ask Tunde Bakare is, whether as a Vice President, he would have advised his commander-in-chief to rush into prosecuting persons based on a frivolous, baseless, and a misleading probe report?” which is currently being challenged by persons from all sectors and credible institutions such as the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.”

“We had long expected SNG in their usual manner, to capitalise on the situations at hand to shine, and pretend to have integrity especially with 2015 elections by the side.

We all know that SNG does not have credibility, and cannot command enough respect as to get right thinking Nigerians out on the streets, hence only members of Bakare’s congregations will litter the street at the expiration of the ultimatum.

“The only thing that is sure to be achieved through such protest is to endanger the lives of poor and innocent Nigerians, who would rather be working to put food on their tables.

Politics is not a game of seeking just two days popularity and vying for the exalted office of the Vice President, besides Nigerians are wiser now, and cannot continue to be fooled all the time,” he added.
