BENIN—COALITION of Civil Society groups in Edo State, the Gani Fawehinmi Movement for Good Governance, GFMGG, and thousands of youths dressed in black, have embarked on a peaceful procession in Benin City, calling on the Police to fish out the killers of the Principal Secretary to Governor Adams Oshiomhole, Mr. Olaitan Oyerinde.

Tears flowed freely at the premises of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, secretariat yesterday, when the Executive Director of the African Network for Environment and Economic Justice, ANEEJ, Rev. David Ugolor, who rushed Oyerinde to hospital before he gave up the ghost, recounted his experience on the night of the assassination and described the perpetrators as cowards.

However, in an address, the Coordinator of Gani Fawehinmi Movement for Good Governance, Mr. Kaduna Eboigbe, prior to the peaceful procession, extolled the virtues of the late Oyerinde, which he said endeared him to Governor Oshiomhole.
