NAFDAC destroys N810m expired products

SAGAMU— Expired, spoilt and unwholesome products, valued at N810 million and voluntarily handed over by manufacturing companies were, yesterday, destroyed by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC.

At a briefing at its Sagamu, Ogun State, dumpsite, the Director of Enforcement, Mr. Garba Macdonald, who represented the Director- General of the agency, Dr. Paul Orhii, said the products which were collected over two years, was part of exercise geared towards preventing the re- introduction of expired, spoilt and damaged products into circulation.
