PEAC moves to reshape Nigeria’s economy, boost foreign investment

In a bid to reshape Nigeria’s internal policy framework and position the country as a hub for foreign investment, the Director-General of the Presidential Economic Advisory Council, PEAC, Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, has said that economic reforms must be matched with legislative support to ensure sustainable growth.

He said this recently in a meeting with the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, at the National Assembly.

Adeniyi, who also serves as the Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PEAC/PFIPC), noted that the meeting was a strategic dialogue focused on harmonising executive economic policies with legislative action.

Speaking about the agencies he heads, Adeyemi said they have been instrumental in advancing reforms targeting key sectors such as agriculture, industry, technology, and the digital economy.

He also noted that his passion stems from the presidency’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which emphasises interagency coordination, private sector partnership, and legislative synergy as tools for national progress.

He is committed to addressing national priorities such as investor confidence, structural reform, industrial growth, and youth empowerment through innovation.

He said, “We cannot deliver inclusive growth without policy alignment, and we’re here to ensure that every stakeholder plays their part.”

In response, Kalu lauded the DG’s proactive initiative, saying that, “This meeting is a bridge between national ambition and actionable policy,” reaffirming the House’s readiness to provide legislative backing for policies that will drive investment, job creation, and long-term development.
