Chatfriend X Launches: New app bringing real conversations, real jobs to lonely world

In a world that feels more connected than ever yet lonelier by the day, a new app is stepping up with a refreshingly human solution.

It’s called Chatfriend X, and it just launched on June 20, 2025, with one bold mission: to give people the gift of real conversation while creating honest jobs for young Africans. The app, co-founded by Norwegian social worker Christine Jørgensen and Nigerian entrepreneur Roland Agbor, is bridging two very different worlds through something everyone needs: companionship.

“Loneliness is everywhere,” said Christine. “Even in the busiest cities, people feel invisible. I wanted to do more than feel sorry. I wanted to create something that truly helps. That’s how Chatfriend X started.”

The idea was simple but powerful. What if people who needed someone to talk to could connect with kind, caring companions online, and what if those companions were young people from communities where jobs are scarce but empathy runs deep?

Chatfriend X users sign up, purchase a plan, and get matched with trained communicators. These are real people, not bots. They listen, they engage, they show up with presence, and every chat helps support their livelihood.

Most Chatfriend X communicators are based in Nigeria, and the team behind the app is proud of that.

“We know some people have doubts when they hear where our team comes from,” Roland shared. “But that’s exactly why we’re open about it. Nigeria is full of warm, smart, emotionally intelligent young people. The problem isn’t talent. It’s opportunity.”

Built in Nigeria and designed for the world, the app offers companionship to users across different age groups, from teenagers to the elderly. For now, the focus is on Europe due to timezone alignment, but the vision is global. The goal is simple: make people feel seen and heard while giving communicators a sustainable way to earn, grow, and live better.

“Chatfriend X isn’t just about chatting,” said Roland. “It’s about dignity. Every message, every call, is a step toward hope for the user and the communicator.”

The app offers a smooth, safe experience. Chats are private and encrypted. Communicators are trained not just to talk, but to listen with empathy and respond with care. And behind every friendly conversation is a deeper purpose, one that Christine herself knows well.

“I’ve had a Chatfriend X companion myself,” she shared. “Even though we’d never met in person, they helped me see things differently. They reminded me how powerful simple human connection can be.”

The app’s early journey was guided by a dedicated manager Obi Collins (Mr. Manager) who helped bring the team’s vision to life. “He’s been with us every step of the way,” Christine said. “And we’re so grateful.”

Now live and ready for download, Chatfriend X is inviting the world to start talking and start making a difference, one message at a time.
