National tennis champion, Fatima Abinu will be  the star attraction at the inaugural Golden Tulip (Festac) Hotel Invitational Tennis Championship

which kicks off on Saturday, April 21 at the hotel’s sports club.

The invitational aimed at preparing Lagos based players for the CBN Championships

in May, will also feature Ronke Akingbade, Omotayo Ibrahim Osewa and Linda Afolarin.

The Men’s will feature former top juniors, Samuel Omoile, Umoru Balami, Afeez Rasak and Kareem Badmus.

The International Tennis Academy which has put together the event says the matches will be played on a round robin format to give the players enough match practice going into the big national tournament.

The invitational which ends on Saturday April 28 will also feature a closed championship

for members of the Golden Tulip Sports Club.
