Financial Expert, Michael Ogunkola says money laundering remains one of the most sophisticated and damaging financial crimes affecting global economy.

Speaking with Journalists in Lagos, Mr Ogunkola said through his years of work in the telecoms sector, he has developed advanced detection and prevention protocols that multinational corporations now rely on to comply with anti-money laundering regulations and protect their operations.

He said his recent research involve more than conventional compliance chat which spearheaded cross-border fraud investigation units, developed real-time monitoring systems, and introduced AI-supported controls that identify high-risk transactions with unprecedented speed and accuracy.

“In regions where financial oversight may be fragmented, I work with regulators, audit teams, and legal experts to close systemic gaps that allow laundering schemes to thrive”.

 ” This initiatives have supported efforts by governments and corporations to build stronger anti-laundering defenses and enhance the transparency of financial systems”, he added.
