Stakeholders have reviewed the future of AI-driven solutions in revolutionizing population health management for critical diseases across Nigeria.

The transformative roundtable event convened in Abuja, brought together thought leaders, innovators, and decision-makers to celebrate the nationwide rollout of cutting-edge technology within the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN)’s TB and HIV programs.

The  initiative, which is already driving unprecedented improvements in the efficiency, accountability, and coordination of the national TB/HIV response, combines real-time data insights, automated performance tracking, and streamlined feedback loops.

Hosted by Vantage Health Technologies and the Network for Health Equity and Development (NHED), the event which showcased the transformative results of the nationwide rollout of cutting-edge technology within the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN)’s TB and HIV programs ,is said to be the largest initiative of its kind in Nigerian history.

Speaking at the event,Dr. Emmanuel Vincent, Project Director for IHVN’s Global Fund-supported TB/HIV program, emphasized the unprecedented scale of the platform, which he noted, has been adopted across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, reaching over 5,300 healthcare facilities.

 “At the heart of this ambitious effort is technology designed to maximize the impact of every working day,”

Dr. Vincent explained:”It’s not just a tool; it’s a system that fosters performance and accountability by delivering real-time program monitoring, AI-powered insights, and a human-centered management structure that enables our teams to focus on what truly matters: results.”

He disclosed that since its rollout, the solution has delivered significant gains, including 65% reduction in time spent on monthly program reviews;100% compliance with national reporting requirements, ensuring standardized and timely submissions and 10,607 performance standards documented, enabling real-time visibility into implementation.

Others are 2,685 staff-initiated feedback interactions and 2,263 manager-led reviews, strengthening the culture of feedback;11,307 supervision and mentorship engagements tracked, promoting structured capacity-building and

260 critical issues escalated to executive level for timely resolution.

“These outcomes represent a decisive shift toward data-driven decision-making, greater transparency, and faster response cycles across Nigeria’s health system, “he said, adding:”The platform is not just a technological innovation – it is a catalyst for a new era of health system performance.”

On his part,Paul Bhuhi, Managing Director, Vantage Health Technologies, adding that“Dashboards don’t do the work, people do. A government representative noted, “We are seeing what is possible when technology is aligned with national goals. The consistency, clarity, and coordination this platform brings are setting a new bar for how programs can and should be managed.”

Broader Applicability:

Beyond the TB and HIV response, stakeholders at a recent roundtable event recognized the model’s potential to strengthen other health programs, including malaria, reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health (RMNCH), and also more broadly, to strengthen initiatives in other sectors.
