…Over 100 top organisations, individuals vie for coveted awards

The Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award, NHEA, 2025, widely regarded as the “Oscars of Nigerian healthcare,” has officially entered its final, crucial phase with the commencement of public voting for its prestigious awards.

Voting lines opened on Monday, May 20, 2025, marking a significant milestone following a robust nomination process that attracted thousands of entries from across the nation’s healthcare sector.

This 11th edition of the NHEA is set to recognise hundreds of top-performing organisations and individuals who have demonstrated innovation, excellence, and significant impact within Nigeria’s healthcare ecosystem over the past year

Following a rigorous and transparent screening by the NHEA Jury, a highly competitive list of over 100 nominees has emerged across diverse categories.

These include renowned institutions and practitioners such as FMC Ebute Metta, Duchess International Hospital, Cedarcrest, LifeWORTH, Total Health Trust, GE Healthcare, JNCI, Stanbic IBTC, Sterling Bank, Mainland FM, Nigeria Health Watch, Mobi Health, Cerba -Lancet, Smile360 Dental, and Nisa Premier Hospital, among others.

Speaking on the development, the NHEA Director of Marketing, Communication & Strategy, Moses Braimah, expressed excitement about the current stage of the awards.

 “Nomination closed on May 16, 2025, with many surprises and excitement.

“We are now at the final stage where public voting is underway. Some shortlisted nominees are also being visited by our field team for verification, ensuring transparency and integrity in the award process.”

To ensure broad public participation, the organisers have made the voting process accessible. Speaking, the NHEA Executive Secretary, Vivian Alikali, outlined the simple steps for participation. “Voters are required to register by creating an account with a valid email address, which will be authenticated. Once registered, they can log in and cast their votes,” Alikali explained.

The voting window is open until midnight on June 16, 2025.

He said the culmination of the highly anticipated event will be a grand award ceremony slated for June 27, 2025, at the Convention Centre, Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, where the winners will finally be unveiled.

The NHEA 2025 promises to showcase excellence across all tiers of healthcare, celebrating the leaders, innovators, and institutions pushing boundaries in service delivery, research, innovation, and technology integration.
