The National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) has announced that Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State, will host its 2025 National Marketing Conference (AMC) and Annual General Meeting (AGM) from June 19 to 21.
Speaking during a press briefing in Uyo on Thursday, NIMN President and Chairman of Council, Mr. Idorenyen Enang, FNIMN, unveiled the theme of the conference: “Leveraging Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) in Driving Value Across Generations.”
According to Enang, the annual event will serve as a platform for marketing professionals and thought leaders to engage in transformative discussions that will not only uplift the marketing profession but also spotlight Uyo as a hub for business, culture, and tourism.
“The conference will feature several major events, including a Marketing Symposium on Sustainable Marketing and the Future of Brand Leadership, the Annual Marketing Conference, a Fellowship Dinner, and the Annual General Meeting and Elections,” Enang stated.
He added that delegates will participate in dynamic sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, while also experiencing the rich cultural heritage of Akwa Ibom through guided city tours, cultural exhibitions, and local culinary delights.
The 2025 edition is expected to draw top marketing professionals, executives, policymakers, students, academics, and business leaders from across Nigeria and beyond.
Enang emphasized that choosing Uyo as the host city reinforces NIMN’s commitment to decentralizing professional engagement and promoting regional excellence, while advancing sustainable marketing practices.
“We are excited to welcome marketers from across Nigeria to experience our hospitality, engage in forward-thinking discussions, and build meaningful networks,” Enang said.
He further called on stakeholders from both the public and private sectors, as well as academia and the wider marketing community, to partner with NIMN and participate in what promises to be a transformative gathering aimed at advancing marketing excellence, education, professional development, and ethical standards.
