A fast-rising Nigerian startup, Mapround Global Limited, is redefining how people rent apartments, book services, and navigate cities across the country. Founded in 2023 by Victor Ubah, the company is making waves in the travel and hospitality sector through its innovative, user-centered platform.
“We’re not just a tech product—we’re a lifestyle solution,” Ubah said in a recent interview, highlighting the platform’s focus on real everyday users. “Our platform was designed with people looking for rentals, small businesses needing visibility, or travellers needing fast bookings in mind.”
Since its launch, Mapround has achieved several significant milestones. The company successfully rolled out its mobile app, which offers an all-in-one solution for rentals, bookings, and location-based services. More than 1,000 verified listings have already been onboarded, increasing user trust and platform reliability.
The startup has also secured partnerships with local agents, business owners, and transport providers, creating a strong and trusted ecosystem. This ecosystem is further reinforced by initiatives such as the Mapround Verified Listings Drive, which combats scams by ensuring only legitimate properties and service providers are featured on the app.
“By promoting verified listings, transparent pricing, and responsive support, Mapround builds a layer of trust that sets it apart in regions where trust in digital services can be low,” Ubah added.
Feedback from early users and the local tech community has been overwhelmingly positive. A strong customer feedback loop enables the platform to continuously innovate and solve problems in real time. “Sometimes users don’t say exactly what they need, but their behaviour, feedback, or even silence can reveal pain points,” Ubah said. “This mindset has helped me serve customers not just faster, but smarter—turning problems into opportunities for real impact.”
Mapround is not only focused on profit. The company is also committed to social responsibility. It partners with small and medium local businesses to give them access to a wider digital marketplace, reducing unemployment and helping local economies grow. In addition, Mapround conducts digital literacy training and tech education sessions and supports clean-up drives and community projects in areas where the app is widely used.
With an agile development process and openness to partnerships, Mapround is poised for future growth. The founder envisions the platform evolving into an all-in-one lifestyle tool that powers how people live, move, and connect—not just in Nigeria, but across Africa.
“We’re just getting started,” Ubah said. “As we grow, our focus remains on creating real value, listening to our users, and expanding across new cities and countries.”
Mapround may be young, but it is already proving that technology, when built with people in mind, can be both powerful and practical.
