Delta State chapter of the De Norsemen Kclub International (DNKI) has extended warm congratulations to Nigerian children across the country as they mark the annual Children’s Day celebration on May 27.
In a heartfelt message signed by Ayo Emuobor, secretary of the chapter, DNKI lauded the resilience, creativity, and potential of Nigerian children, describing them as the true hope for a brighter future. The non-governmental organization, which focuses on child welfare, education, and empowerment, reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for the rights and well-being of every Nigerian child.
“Children’s Day is a reminder of the importance of nurturing our future leaders,” the statement read. “DNKI celebrates every Nigerian child today and calls on all stakeholders — parents, teachers, policymakers, and community leaders — to prioritize the protection, education, and development of our children.”
The organization also used the opportunity to urge the government to implement stronger policies that guarantee access to quality education, healthcare, and a safe environment for all children, especially those in underserved communities.
“This year’s theme, ‘For Every Child, Every Right,’ resonates deeply with our mission,” said Emuobor. “We will continue to advocate for the voiceless and ensure that no child is left behind.”
As part of its Children’s Day activities, Emuobor through his company AYO Milan paid the JAMB fees for a number of children to mark the celebration.
Children’s Day, celebrated every May 27 in Nigeria, is dedicated to recognizing the rights of children and raising awareness about the challenges they face in society.
