BENIN CITY – A group known as Concerned Edo Citizens Forum (CECF) has called on Governor Monday Okpebholo to constitute a full state executive council to show the seriousness in governance and true representation of the entire state in the government.

The group in a statement said it was bothered that six months after the inauguration of the new government, there is still no full complement of the state exco.

The Convener of the group, Roy Orhibabor in a statement issued in Benin City said some local government areas were being excluded from representation in the governance of the state and called on the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to prevail on the governor to do the needful.

“A situation where some local governments have one to two commissioners and some don’t have undermined the spirit of democracy and cohesion .We are still wondering why the delay to set up the Edo State Executive Council to reflect the 18 local government areas in Edo State.

“This appeal is natural, and just because working together also encourages carry along in the scheme of things for the betterment of all.

“We call on Mr. Governor to listen to the voices of Edo people with a reliable platform who are committed to the development and betterment of Edo State, not politicians seeking for self to the detriment of our dear state, and open your doors for constructive criticism to enhance your administration for better output. Experience has shown us that our former Presidents , Governors , ministers, and Senators, only discover the solutions to our problems when they are out of office because they don’t listen to critical thinkers, patriotic evaluators and dependable people for directions but only political patronage that has over the years hider our progression.
