*Chevrolet Cruz hatchback expected at the Lagos Motor show.
CFAO Motors, a member of the CFAO Automotive Group will be taking part in the 2012 Lagos Motor show, scheduled for April 18 to 24 at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.
The motor company which markets the Mitsubishi and Iveco brands of vehicles will be taking part in the show with its subsidiary, CFAO Intermotor which market the Chevrolet brand.
Disclosing this to Vanguard Motoring over the weekend, Mr. Ifeanyi Agwu, Managing Director of BKG Exhibitions, organisers of the motor show explained that the company would like to use the exhibition to show Nigerians the latest models from both their Japanese brand (Mitsubishi) and the fastest selling American brand, Chevrolet.
According to him, CFAO is one of the automobile companies that had over the years demonstrated much readiness to continually create and consistently provide relevant, affordable, and dependable automobiles to all sectors of the Nigerian automobile market and those of the entire ECOWAS sub-region.
“That a giant like CFAO is storming the event like never before shows that it is a company that is alive to the demands and changes in its operating environment. It is a pacesetter that will always go a long way in meeting the yearnings of its existing and potential customers,” Agwu said.
He further explained that CFAO would through its Mitsubishi stable, showcase the latest compact ASX, Outlander, and Pajero SUV models. Others include the Mitsubishi Lancer saloon, canter and one ton pickup as well as the L200, L300 and Rosa bus.
From Chevrolet, the company would showcase the fast selling Cruz sedan and estate as well as the Aveo, Spark, Sail etc.
Iveco trucks and buses also will complete the CFAO range at the fair.
Mr. Agwu however promised that the fair would be very rewarding for participants saying “we are reaching out to buyers, transporters, traders, and dealers etc to invite them to the fair in their large numbers. Heavy publicity campaigns are being deployed to promote the event extensively in Nigeria and abroad. Our Billboards are allover the State, posters and handbills are already in circulation throughout Nigeria and neighbouring countries of Benin, Togo and Ghana, on-line publicity campaigns are on too.
He further dislosed that more foreign Original Equipment Manufacturing firms have equally booked to take part in the forthcoming event. According to him the number is now above 120 and more are indicating interest.
“For our teeming visitors this is the place to be to access the entire major automobiles, spare parts, accessories, lubricants, financials under one roof as reputable manufacturers, dealers and companies in these areas are participating in the fair in their large numbers.
They [the visitors] have the unique opportunity of acquiring these at special rates which they cannot get elsewhere. Special discounts, packages and gifts have been lined up for them by the participating companies.
