In celebration of its 8th anniversary, the non-governmental organization Move To Impact (MTI), led by renowned youth advocate Oyebanjo Ayomidipupo, popularly known as BME, has empowered over 200 students at Surulere Girls’ High School in Lagos State.

The event, held at the school, featured a series of quiz competitions, three in total, with winners receiving monetary rewards and writing materials.

This 8th edition, themed “Be The Change,” focused on the girl child and her growing potential to use education as a tool to conquer the world.

Speaking on the vision behind MTI, BME stated, “I started MOVE TO IMPACT because I believe in the power of community, and I believe young people can rewrite their stories if they’re shown a path and given a chance.

“From organizing logistics to securing impactful speakers and assembling volunteers, dedication remains the backbone of MTI,” he added. “My grassroots approach, hands-on involvement, and commitment to seeing lives transformed continue to earn me respect as a young Nigerian actively shaping the future one school at a time.”

As the 8th edition wraps up, the theme “Be The Change” continues to resonate with the students. What began as a passion project has steadily evolved into a legacy of hope.

Since its inception, MTI has grown beyond an annual outreach it has become a movement, driven solely by passion and purpose.

Speaking on the school premises, a past beneficiary of MTI noted, “BME has continued to lead and fund the project alongside a small team of committed changemakers. With little external sponsorship, he has worked tirelessly behind the scenes each year to ensure that the event not only holds but grows in impact and reach.”
