Nollywood star Mercy Aigbe is basking in excitement after being announced as the Best Supporting Actress at the ongoing Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) held at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Aigbe won the prestigious award for her performance in the movie “Farmer’s Bride,” beating strong contenders like Tina Mba, Omoni Oboli, Ireti Doyle, Ini Dima-Okojie, and Darasimi Nnadi-Aburo.

In her acceptance speech, the actress credited her win to hard work and dedication to her craft, while expressing deep appreciation to her fans and team for their unwavering support.

This marks yet another AMVCA victory for Aigbe, who previously won in 2014 and has secured multiple nominations over the years, solidifying her status as a powerhouse in the industry.

Another major highlight of the night was Chioma Chukwuka, who clinched the Best Actress award for her role in “Seven Doors.” She triumphed over nominees Uche Onuoha, Uche Montana, Uzoamaka Anlunoh, and Gbugbemi Eiete to take home the honor.
