We make clean, mobile sanitation accessible to all Nigerians – Entrepreneur, Samuel Okoye

In a bold move to combat Nigeria’s growing sanitation challenges, Sachio Mobile Toilets and Sanitary Solutions is making waves as a transformative force in the mobile hygiene sector. The company, founded by Samuel Chidi Okoye, was inspired by the glaring lack of clean and accessible restroom facilities at public events, construction sites, and in underserved communities across the country.

“What we observed was more than just discomfort—it was a public health crisis,” Okoye said. “Our mission is to change that narrative by delivering safe, hygienic, and mobile sanitation solutions that Nigerians can rely on.”

What started as a small operation with only a handful of mobile units has grown into one of the country’s fastest-expanding sanitation service providers. Today, Sachio caters to a diverse clientele, including event organizers, construction firms, NGOs, and government agencies.

The company stated, “Our goal is to revolutionize sanitation across Nigeria. We aim to provide reliable, hygienic, and eco-friendly mobile toilet services that promote health and dignity, anytime and anywhere.”

Sachio’s product range includes everything from basic portable units to VIP restroom trailers complete with air conditioning, vanity mirrors, and luxury fittings. These services are supported by a fully trained team handling delivery, installation, maintenance, and waste disposal.

To measure its impact, the company monitors customer satisfaction through regular surveys and feedback from event organizers and project managers. It also tracks the number of deployed units, geographic reach, project success rates, and emergency response efficiency in areas like flood zones and IDP camps. Compliance with health and environmental standards, including regulations set by agencies like LASEPA, is a priority. Sachio also uses digital engagement metrics to assess public interest and brand visibility.

Sachio’s business model is service-based and scalable, with multiple income streams. The company earns revenue from short- and long-term rentals for events and construction sites, luxury VIP trailer services, and contracts with government agencies and humanitarian organizations. Additional revenue comes from maintenance agreements, transport and installation fees, and strategic partnerships with event planners and infrastructure contractors.

Despite its progress, the company faces several challenges. Poor road infrastructure, inconsistent water supply, and limited public awareness hamper operations. Regulatory differences across states, capital-intensive equipment costs, staffing difficulties, and seasonal demand fluctuations also present hurdles to consistent service delivery and growth.

Looking to the future, Sachio Mobile Toilets aims to expand operations to all 36 states in Nigeria and become a regional leader in mobile sanitation across West Africa. The company plans to introduce eco-friendly, solar-powered units and smart waste management systems. It also intends to establish a franchise model to empower local entrepreneurs, set up regional service hubs, and secure long-term contracts with governments and NGOs. Additionally, Sachio is developing a digital platform for seamless booking, service tracking, and customer feedback.

According to Okoye, “We’re not just providing toilets; we’re restoring dignity and protecting health—one unit at a time.”
