Keshi decides Babadidi’s replacement

The technical crew of the national team, was on Tuesday morning tinkering with the idea of calling up a replacement for injured Gombe United striker, Mustapha Babadidi, but were awaiting words on the matter from Head Coach Stephen Keshi.

Assistant Coach Dan ‘The Bull’ Amokachi, said he has not received directive to replace the player and who to replace him with. “So at the moment we will work with the remaining 25 players unless the boss says otherwise”.

The Eagles had their usual rigorous work out on Tuesday morning with all members of the technical crew present and the first 18 set of players that came had a good training session as the team prepares for the encounter against the Pharaohs of Egypt in Abu Dabhi.

One of the new invitees to camp, Hassan Hussein, was so impressive in training that he was approached after the training to give his impression on the tactics and lessons in camp, being a first timer.

The Dolphins of Port Harcourt midfielder said he was happy to be part of the national team and now knows that there is something special in the national camp.

“The training here is tough and you must work hard as the coach told us before training started to be part of the national team. It was hard in the beginning but I am gradually adjusting to the conditions”, the light skinned player said after training.

The former Juth FC star, is one of the players that has caught the fancy of national team selectors to warrant his invitation to the national team.
