ABUJA—THE District Overseer, Foursquare Gospel Church, Garki Abuja, Rev. Isaac Komolafe has described as the greatest evil to the nation a situation where people indicted at the various National Assembly probe panels are walking freely in the society without prosecution.
The man of God who was speaking at a press conference on Jesus the King (JTK) annual event of the church, also admonished the Federal Government to invest more in intelligence gathering to curtail the ongoing violent killings in the country.
“Bad leadership gave birth to the monster called corruption and other siblings in various appearances. The terror of Boko Haram has crippled the government and its agencies. We ask government to wake up from its slumber and invest more in the intelligence unit of security. Prevention is better than cure,” he said.
Komolafe also charged the government to be proactive while Church is praying God to give them a clue on how to tackle the menace. “Church should pray for government and government should also be proactive on the issue,” he emphasised.
According to him, “the can of worms opened both at the Pension Fund and the Capital Market’ probes left nothing to be desired. Our worry is that, corrupt individuals or groups are left to walk about free as if nothing happened after the probe. This is the greatest evil of our nation.”
