..says President Tinubu ‘ll address grievances of members

By Peter Duru, Makurdi

All Progressives Congress, APC, support group under the aegis of APC North Central Reality Movement has appealed to members of the party to jettison the thoughts of defecting to other political parties assuring that President Bola Tinubu has promised to address their grievances.

The group urged party members to remain steadfast and not be deceived or swayed by supposed small political parties seeking relevance in the political space.

Addressing selected members of the party, youth and women groups in Makurdi, Monday, the National Chairman of the group, Muhammad Rabiu urged party members to give President Tinubu the benefit of the doubt as he had promised not to deny the North Central its accruable  dividends in his administration.

According to him, “President Tinubu heard our demands and he has promised to address our grievances, as members of the party in the North Central let’s give him that benefit of the doubt.

“That is why we are appealing for calm. We must not allow any body come to deceive us by flying the idea that we should decamp to their small party with a promise to treat us better.

“No one should deceive us, we will remain in APC because we are the ruling party and the President has assured that no one would be left out. He assured that he would ensure equitable distribution of the benefit that should go to each region accordingly.

“Let’s be rest assured that there will be balance in appointments by the President that would ensure that the North Central, with our strong showing politically, is not relegated to the background.

“We must not panic, we are important in the nation’s scheme of things and we will continue to remain a major force in the politics of Nigeria and the APC recognises that fact.

“So the people of North Central should not be deceived by any politician with outdated ideas as they seek to become relevant ahead of 2027.

“Let’s all stand united in the APC, make our demands with one voice and in unity in order to ensure that the dividends of democracy do not elude our people.

“I also urge us to continue to support President Tinubu who came into governance at a very difficult time in the Nigeria’s history. No doubt he has taken some bold but difficult decisions that are meant for the good of the country.

“He needs our support and the youths particularly who have enjoyed enormous support from the administration should join hands to ensure that our party continues to maintain its stronghold in the North Central.”
