Princess Rosemary Osula honoured on birthday for outstanding philanthropy

Renowned philanthropist and founder of the Rosula Foundation, Princess Dr Mrs Rosemary Osula MKU-Atu, AMBP-UN, was celebrated on Friday as she marked her birthday, with tributes highlighting her exceptional contributions to education, youth empowerment, and community development across Nigeria.

The birthday celebration became an opportunity for dignitaries, community leaders, and beneficiaries of her humanitarian work to reflect on the enduring impact of her philanthropic efforts, especially through the Rosula Foundation’s scholarship initiatives that have transformed the lives of many young Nigerians.

One of the notable tributes came from Chief Chamberlain Owen Obaseki, Otaifo of Uromi Kingdom, who described Princess Osula as a “philanthropist extraordinaire” whose generosity has consistently inspired hope and uplifted communities.

“Her kindness and generosity have created a lasting impact, empowering individuals and fostering positive change,” Chief Obaseki said.

Referencing Luke 6:38, he added, “Give, and it will be given to you… For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you,” noting that the verse embodies Princess Osula’s life of giving.

Over the years, the Rosula Foundation has provided educational scholarships to hundreds of students, offering them access to learning opportunities that would have otherwise been out of reach. Her work has also included skills development programmes and social support for vulnerable groups.

“Her legacy is not just in what she gives but in how she inspires others to do good,” Obaseki continued, citing 2 Corinthians 9:8: “And God is able to bless you abundantly… so that you will abound in every good work.”

As part of the birthday celebrations, friends, well-wishers, and community stakeholders sent messages of goodwill, praying for her continued health, long life, and greater impact in the years ahead.

“May the Lord bless you and keep you… and give you peace,” Chief Obaseki concluded, quoting from Numbers 6:24–26.

Princess Osula’s unwavering commitment to service and philanthropy continues to serve as a beacon of hope and a call to action for others to invest in humanity.
