A high-powered delegation of All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders from Biu Local Government, Borno State, led by Rt. Hon. Yakubu Kimba, paid Sallah homage to Ambassador Tukur Yusuf Buratai, former Chief of Army Staff and the Betara of Biu, during his visit to Biu for the Eid celebrations.

Hon. Kimba, on behalf of His Excellency Umar Usman Kadafur, extended heartfelt greetings from the Biu community and expressed deep appreciation for Buratai’s contributions to the region during his tenure.

He described Buratai as a true elder statesman, commending his consistent commitment to Biu’s development.

Hon. Kimba also conveyed condolences to Buratai over the passing of Alhaji Aliyu Usman Kadafur, offering prayers for Allah’s mercy and eternal rest for the departed.

In response, Ambassador Buratai expressed gratitude for the visit and kind words. He reaffirmed his unwavering support for the APC administration at the local, state, and federal levels, emphasizing the importance of unity in governance.

The gathering included: Biu Local Government Chairman, Councillors, Alhaji Umar Auv, Alhaji Abdu Zira (APC LG Secretary).
