The Business Intern, a transformative initiative dedicated to supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs has awarded a grand prize of ₦2.5 million in grants to three businesses for their innovation and impact.

The grants were awarded at the just concluded third season of The Business Intern Awards.

A.jhay Signatures, led by Janet Noah, an eco-friendly brand dedicated to revamping textiles and breathing new life into fabrics through creative and sustainable designs emerged as the grand winner in recognition of the brand’s appeal and support from the Business Intern Community.

Ace Wholesome Foods, led by Fatima Owolewa, followed as first runner up.

The company specializes in producing nutritious baby food, providing healthy and affordable options for parents looking to give their children a strong start in life.

As well, Theodora Fragrances, led by Toluwani Shogaolu, who was recognized for excellence in crafting high-quality diffusers and perfumes, came along as second runner up. 

Speaking on the awards, Founder of The Business Intern Launchpad, Dr. Akhidenor Ernest, said: “We are incredibly proud of the winners and all the participants who showcased their dedication, creativity, and business acumen.

“This program continues to reaffirm our commitment to empowering MSMEs and equipping them with the resources and mentorship they need to thrive.

“The Business Intern provides grants, mentorship, and strategic support to small businesses, driving innovation and sustainability in entrepreneurship. As the program grows, it remains committed to identifying and supporting the next generation of business leaders.

“The success of this season was made possible by the collective efforts of the Business Intern team, including Mawahib Adams, Moyo Olusola, Olaoluwa Oluwasola, and Kingsley Enem. Their dedication and expertise have been instrumental in providing guidance and support to the entrepreneurs throughout the competition”, he said.
