Chimdinma Nzeakor is leading UnplugVR’s mission to build a thriving virtual reality community in the North East of England. UnplugVR is more than just a VR gaming space. It is a hub for collaboration, innovation, and shaping the future of immersive experiences.

Co-founder Chimdinma Nzeakor shared her vision for UnplugVR, emphasizing the importance of community-driven growth.

“When we created UnplugVR, we wanted to do more than offer a place to play VR games. Our goal is to build a space where gamers and developers can actively shape the evolution of virtual reality. By providing early access to unreleased games and encouraging feedback, we’re making players part of the development process. This is about more than just gaming. It’s about being part of something bigger.”

UnplugVR is also committed to nurturing local talent and equipping aspiring developers with the skills they need to succeed. With demand for game creators on the rise, the company is offering mentorship, workshops, coding boot camps, and hands-on training.

“There is so much talent in the North East, and we want to help developers turn their passion into careers,” Chimdinma said. “People are already exploring 3D animation, game design, and coding, but they need the right support and connections to take the next step. UnplugVR is here to provide that.”

Beyond entertainment, UnplugVR aims to position the North East as a hub for game development. Through partnerships with industry experts, the company is creating a space where learning and creativity go hand in hand.

“I’ve benefited from mentorship throughout my journey, and I know how valuable hands-on guidance can be,” Chimdinma added. “That’s why UnplugVR is built on mentorship, learning, and community-driven growth. We want to unlock potential and create opportunities.”

With exciting plans for expansion, UnplugVR is inviting gamers, developers, and tech enthusiasts to be part of the movement.

“Together, we can build something meaningful for the gaming industry, for UnplugVR, and for the North East,” Chimdinma said.
