Lop3z’s story is one of resilience and determination. Born in the bustling Surulere neighborhood of Lagos and with roots in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State, she grew up with a love for music that would eventually shape her entire career. After attending The Fountain School in Surulere for her primary education, she went on to Presentation National High School, where her passion for music started to bloom. She later graduated from the University of Benin in Edo State, where she further honed her talents.

It was during her time in secondary school that Lop3z first discovered her love for music, singing and dancing alongside her childhood friend. Influenced by legends like Eminem and Dr. Dre, she found herself drawn to their distinct sounds, which inspired her to develop her own unique style. By 2012, she took the plunge into professional music, initially performing under the name Efa Lopez and working with producer Biggybeatz.

However, the journey wasn’t always easy. The music industry presented its fair share of challenges, and after facing difficulties, Lop3z took a break from her music career to explore her other talent—DJing. Under the name DJ Lopez, she built a following and made her mark in live performances. But her heart never strayed far from music, and it wasn’t long before she felt the pull to return to the world of singing and songwriting.

Now, as an independent artist, Lop3z is back with a new name and renewed focus. Going by Lop3z, she’s ready to take her place in the music scene and make an impact like never before. With a new sense of purpose and years of experience under her belt, she’s prepared to take on whatever the industry throws her way.

Her musical journey includes the release of O.Y.O in 2016, followed by her latest track, Pay Me, in 2025. Both songs showcase her talent and individuality, with no features to distract from her unique sound and message. The powerful lyrics of Pay Me reflect her growth and confidence, and it’s clear that she’s only just getting started.
