..salute Gov Alia over SUBEB Chairman’s appointment

The Women Wing of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Benue State have lauded what they termed the uncommon transformation of Basic Education in the state under the Dr. Grace Adagba-led State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB.

The women gave the commendation when the State APC Woman Leader, Mrs. Helen Agaigbe led a delegation of women on a solidarity visit to Dr. Adagba at the SUBEB Headquarters in Makurdi.

Speaking on behalf of the women, Mrs. Agaigbe commended the SUBEB Chairman for her unwavering commitment to bettering the lot of learners and teachers and helping Governor Alia drive his vision of transforming Basic Education in the state.

Mrs. Agaigbe who assured Dr. Adagba of the unwavering support of women said “we are here to let you know that you have thousands of women within and beyond Benue State standing behind you. Fear not; we are always with you because women are proud of you.”

She also lauded Governor Alia for appointing a woman to lead SUBEB, acknowledging the significant progress recorded under Dr. Adagba’s leadership.

The Woman Leader stated that,”APC Women stand firmly with the Governor. His administration is like a moving train, and we must align ourselves with it to reach the promised land.”

She urged all Benue women to support Governor Alia’s development agenda emphasizing that the impact of the government was already being felt in all sectors of the state.

Receiving the delegation, Dr. Adagba described the visit as a moment of great joy, stating that, “today is the happiest day of my life, having the great women of Benue State here.”

She praised the APC leadership for its patience and support, which she noted had strengthened her administration.

The SUBEB Chairman urged the women to organize political awareness workshops across the three geo-political zones of the state, emphasizing that the administration of Governor Alia had revitalized political engagements in the state.

Thanking the women, the Director of Administration and Supply at Benue SUBEB, Mrs. Juliana Agbo commended the group for the visit and highlighted the importance of increasing women’s participation in politics.

As a token of appreciation, the APC Women presented Dr. Adagba with  the group’s uniforms and gifts.

On the delegation of the APC Women were the Senior Special Assistant, SSA, to the Governor on Township  Beautification, Member Dekera, SSA on Public Relations and Politics, Mrs Mary Yisa, the Women Leader Zone A, Kukase Garba, that of Zone B, Mrs Grace Asso as well as that of Zone C, Mrs. Onma Ogenyi Zone C and a host of other women and ladies from across the state.
