Nollywood actress Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman has opened up about the moment she realized her husband, actor Ibrahim Suleiman, was the one for her.
Speaking about their love story on Bae or No Bae Show, , Linda revealed that when she first met Ibrahim, she was no longer in a relationship, which allowed her to truly see him for who he was. “By the time we saw each other, I wasn’t in a relationship anymore. So, my eyes opened. When he was standing beside me, my eyes opened this time,” she said.
Ibrahim, on his part, recalled how their paths had crossed on several occasions, but it was at a rehearsal in Surulere, Linda finally could recognize him. At the rehearsal he noted that Linda playfully teased him. Over time, their friendship blossomed. “I love to chat, she likes to call. Yeah, we compromised,” he shared.
As they spent more time together, Linda observed Ibrahim’s kindness and how he treated those around him. “That’s very important because in my previous relationship, the guy wasn’t a good person. But Ibrahim was different—very nice, very kind,” she noted.
One of the defining moments for Linda was Ibrahim’s constant concern for her well-being. “Even if I was smiling but had a straight face, he would ask me, ‘Are you okay?’ Constantly checking in on me,” she said.
Curious, she once asked him why he always did that, to which he simply replied, “I just need to know if you’re fine.” That moment, according to Linda, was when she knew she was going to marry him.
Linda and Ibrahim got married in 2018 and have since remained one of Nollywood’s most admired couples.
