By Alifia Sunday
His Eminence, Apostle Solomon Moses Mustapha (Babasebioba) has advised believers to maximize opportunities, not to waste their precious time, and resources on unproductive lifestyles, like the prodigal son.
According to him, it is not everything that you need that will come your way per time but your ability to manage the little you have makes you great
The cleric took his Sunday sermon from the book of Luke 15:11-14 says “And he said, A certain man had two sons: 12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me..13] Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took his journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in loose living. [14] And when he had spent everything, a great famine arose in that country, and he began to be in want
“The power you need to succeed is very important. This power gather something that result into success. This power will save money, do something tangible, will build houses for you. The power we are talking about is reside with Jesus Chris and on this special Sunday, I declare that the Lord will surprise you with it in Jesus name”
Proverbs 21:20 says, “There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish man spendeth it up”. Spirit of lavishness is a terrible disease. Every spirit of lavishness tormenting you be destroyed in Jesus name.
“It is a terrible war for one to be working and never save. You are working, yet debt everywhere, such is an evil war we must fight to the finish.
If you want to succeed in life, there are things you must do else you will remain helpless”
There are somethings you need and to some they have all things but ability to manage what they have is the challenge. The power to gather and save the wealth possession is not there. If you don’t have this power to save and protect your wealth, then you need help from God. Some don’t have much, but the little they have become a great seed for tomorrow. If you don’t have a seed , you shouldn’t think of harvest . Untill you plant the little seed, you won’t harvest, so plant that little seed in your hand today and wait for the harvest.
You must have the power to gather and save but outside this, you will hardly have remnant to save, because the spirit of spending is in you. If you spend all you have , what will you fall at when you are in need? The prodigal son got everything from his father and sent all because the power to manage his wealth was not there..
Verse 11 further said, A certain man had two sons: 12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me..13] Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took his journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in loose living. [14] And when he had spent everything, a great famine arose in that country, and he began to be in want….
Job spent his wealth in a strange land lavishly and after that his eyes opened and the Bible said, a man has two sons, and the younger one takes his inheritance and wastes it in a far country. He eventually comes to his senses, returns home, and is welcomed back by his father with open arms, despite his wrongdoings. And he arose, and came to his father.
But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. The same way you collect your salary and squander it on unproductive life style, and your eyes opens after all.
There are things you must do away with for you to become great in life. If you don’t remove those things from your life , you become a nonentity. People will expect that you will succeed in your doing but their expectation is dashed because you don’t know what you are doing.
Don’t buy what you don’t need now. There are somethings you delved into that is capable of destroying your future. You want to catch up with the trend or class of people in the society when you don’t actually need it. You engage your self in all celebrations, ceremony, parties and all manner of unhealthy competition. You leave in a rented apartment but you compete well even more than your landlord. Cultivate the habit of saving and spend less then you will become great tomorrow. What you save today will determine what become of you tomorrow.
The prodigal son did not manage his wealth and he became helpless and poor. So, you too could be called a prodigal son if the little you have now is spent lavishly. I declare today that every spirit of lavishness be destroyed in your life in Jesus name.
Don’t wast your opportunity , maximize it.
There were seven surplus Years and seven years of famine that took place in Egypt, that Egypt will experience seven years of abundance followed by seven years of famine.
Joseph advises Pharaoh to prepare for the famine by collecting and storing grain during the years of abundance.
Joseph’s advice is to appoint a wise man to be in charge of Egypt and to collect a fifth of the harvest during the years of abundance.
The famine is so severe that people will forget what it was like to have plenty of food. Genesis 41: 29-37…Everyone of us has the grace, there are seasons of plenty at the same time famine and the opportunity is opened to all. But when opportunity comes and you failed to grap it, it will disappear.
Don’t waste your life, your time and resources on an unproductive lifestyle because when the opportunity comes, you will be stranded. I decree that every spirit of lavishness in your life be terminated in Jesus name. Your life must have a direction, stop spending what you never plan and see your self becoming great in future.
