Uduaghan, Orubebe accord not genuine – Emami

By Emma Arubi
ASABA—PEOPLES Democratic Party, PDP, stalwart in Delta State, Mr. Ayirimi Emami, yesterday, said that the new found romance between Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and the Minister of Niger Delta Ministry, Elder Godsday Orubebe, in the wake of the recently concluded state party congress as Asaba, is not genuine.

The duo buried their differences during the congress that brought back the former state Chairman of the party, Chief Peter Nwoaboshi and the Secretary, Chief Solomon Ogba, in a move that took many unsuspecting party members by surprise.

Ayiri, who until the recent ward congress was the PDP Chairman of Warri South-West Local Government Area, maintained that for there to be total reconciliation, the strategic interest of the former governor of the state, Chief James Ibori must be well protected, adding that any fence mending that failed in this regard was bound to collapse.

He argued that in the spirit of the reconciliation between the politicians, their foot soldiers must also be fully reconciled and brought back to the PDP for there to be lasting peace in the state.
