VP Shettima, others celebrate Tinubu’s health adviser,Dr. Salma Anas

…over son’s wedding

Sun City Estate, in Galadima, Abuja, was the cynosure of all eyes on Saturday as it was thronged with dignitaries and top government officials both at the federal and at the state levels.

The people who stormed the estate, all from different sections of the country ,were there to witness the wedding reception of Abduljabar Hashim Kolo, first son of Dr. Salma Ibrahim Anas, Special Adviser to the President on Health and his bride, Amira.

Prominent among the guests at the event were Vice President Kashim Shettima, whom Dr. Anas served under his government in Borno State as Commissioner of Health, the Minister of Agriculture, Senator Abubakar Kyari and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Dr. Ibrahim Kana,respectively.

Vice President Shettima, while celebrating his former appointee for the feat achieved, described her selfless service to the nation as remarkable.

“Her dedication and commitment to public service have always been remarkable, and it was an honour to celebrate this joyous moment with her family, ‘he said.

On his part, Dr. Ibrahim Kana, showered accolades on Dr. Salma for balancing her career with family life, noting her dedication as a mother.

According to him,“Today is a day of joy for a parent who has worked hard for her children’s growth and development.”

He admonished the couple to show understanding for each other just as he prayed for success of their marriage.

“Patience is vital for the success of any union. I pray for their happiness and harmony as they begin this journey, “he said.

On her part, Dr. Salma Ibrahim Anas, who could not hold back her joy for the marriage,
described the wedding as a great blessing and thanked God for the moment.

She said the values of independence, hard work, and determination were special ingredients that directed her son’s life and called on the youth to emulate his attributes.

She said:“I’m so happy and excited to witness this day. It’s a rare blessing to see your child take this significant step.

‘He never depended on us. He rented his house, bought his car, and built his life independently. My prayers are for a peaceful and blessed marriage with children who will surpass them both in goodness, “he said.

Dr. Annas called on the youths to focus on education, work hard, and trust in God, as according to her, “What your parents have is theirs; your success depends on your own efforts and faith.”

Speaking,the groom, Abduljabar Hashim Kolo,said:“I’m elated to start this chapter with someone I admire deeply. I like to be myself and work hard for what I want. My bride’s support and understanding are qualities I deeply cherish. “
