In order to continue to enhance learning outcomes and foster academic excellence in Nigeria, Casio Computer Co., Ltd. has disclosed that three of its scientific calculator models have been officially certified by the Nigerian Conformity Assessment Program, SONCAP, overseen by the Standard Organization of Nigeria, SON.

According to the company, the achievement represents the first SONCAP certification for Casio products in Nigeria, underscoring its dedication to quality and educational excellence.

It said: “The certified models include: FX-9910NGPLUS-2WDT, FX-991ESPLUS-2WDTV and FX-82MS-2-W-DH-F

“SONCAP, implemented in 2005, serves as Nigeria’s robust import control mechanism, ensuring that only authentic and high-quality products are introduced into the local market.

“The programme safeguards Nigerian consumers from counterfeit goods while promoting adherence to global safety and quality standards.

“We pursued SONCAP certification to reaffirm our commitment to advancing mathematics education in Nigeria.

“These calculators are specifically designed to meet the needs of Nigerian students and educators, delivering high performance, durability, and ease of use.

“Among the certified models, the FX-9910NGPLUS-2WDT stands out as an affordable, durable, and user-friendly scientific calculator.

“Its exceptional mathematical capabilities have earned it the endorsement of the Lagos State Curriculum Service, with a recommendation sticker proudly displayed on the product packaging,” Casio added.
