ASABA—FORMER member of Delta State House of Assembly, who represented  Oshimili South constituency, Mr.  Gabriel Okpuno, was, yesterday, abducted by unknown gunmen and taken to an unknown destination.

He was said to have been picked up in front of his residence at Asaba, the state capital.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain is also a former Sports Commissioner in the state.

Though his abductors were yet to make any contact with his family and no ransom demanded, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Charles Muka, said  that the police was on top of the situation.
