104 newly promoted Police officers decorated in Jos

Jos -The Plateau State Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Adesina has decorated the newly promoted 104 officers of the Command in a ceremony held on Tuesday in Jos and attended by Heads of Security Agencies in the State, Traditional rulers, Religious leaders, families, and friends of the promotees.

The Commissioner of Police charged the officers to be steadfast, diligent, and responsible in their new capacities and emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of professionalism and integrity in their duties, reminding them of the critical role they play in maintaining peace and security in the State.

The CP commended the newly promoted officers for their hard work and dedication to duty, which has led to their promotion which he described as “well deserved.”

Adesina congratulated the newly promoted officers, wished them success in their new roles, and encouraged them to serve the people of Plateau State with confidence, honor, and distinction.

Goodwill messages were received from the Heads of Security Agencies, who unanimously congratulated and charged them to use their new ranks to promote peace and security on the Plateau.

CSP Tyopev Terna who spoke on behalf of the newly promoted officers of the Command expressed their gratitude to the Commissioner of Police for organizing the ceremony to honour them, expressed gratitude to other security chiefs for honoring them with their presence, and assured that they would utilize their new ranks to the best of their abilities, to maintain peace and security throughout the State.

However, 17 Superintendent of Police, SP were promoted to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP, 10 Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP were promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police, SP, and 77 Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASPs were promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP.
