High Chief Kenneth Ifekudu, OFR, the Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Leeds Limited, Nigeria’s leading contracting firm, has been honored with the prestigious title of Ife Ozubulu (Light of Ozubulu).
The title was conferred on him on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, during the Ozubulu Ofala Day Celebration, an annual cultural event that celebrates the rich traditions and accomplishments of the community.
This recognition comes as a testament to High Chief Ifekudu’s significant contributions to the development of Ozubulu and Anambra State at large. Among his notable projects is the construction of the Mega Ultra Modern Market and a 2.27km road in Ozubulu, both of which were fully funded by him. Additionally, his numerous empowerment initiatives have positively impacted the lives of many residents in the community.
Speaking at the event, Igwe Fidelis Nnamdi Oruche, the Obi of Ozubulu, praised High Chief Ifekudu for his unwavering dedication to the growth and pride of Ozubulu. “High Chief Ifekudu is an illustrious son of Ozubulu who has made our community proud across Nigeria. We wish to encourage him to do more and shine brighter, which is why we are proud to call him Ife Ozubulu,” the monarch stated.
The honor comes just weeks after High Chief Ifekudu was celebrated in London as the Patron of the Igbo Ambassadors Club, United Kingdom, further cementing his reputation as a leader and philanthropist dedicated to uplifting his community and promoting the Igbo culture.
High Chief Kenneth Ifekudu’s new title reflects his status as a beacon of hope and progress for Ozubulu, inspiring others to contribute to the growth and prosperity of their communities.
