ABUJA – The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has appointed Comrade Emordi Ugochukwu Caleb, President General of the Southern Nigeria Youth Congress (SNYC), as his Special Assistant on Youths.

The appointment has been described as a testament to the Speaker’s commitment to youth development and inclusivity in governance.

In a statement issued in Abuja, the SNYC commended the Speaker for fulfilling his promise made at a July Town Hall Meeting to integrate credible youth leaders into his administration.

The group emphasized that the appointment recognizes the vital role of Nigerian youths in national development and aims to harness their immense potential.

The group expressed confidence in Emordi’s proven leadership qualities and commitment to youth empowerment, stating that his appointment marks a significant step toward creating a more youth-friendly Nigeria.

They also acknowledged the contributions of key officials who facilitated the selection process, including the Speaker’s Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon. Chamberlain Dunkwu, and Special Assistant on Youth Matters, Lamir Umar Ibrahim.

The statement reads, “We write to express our profound gratitude to you, our Distinguished Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt Hon Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D, for your unwavering commitment to youth development.

“We are particularly delighted with the appointment of our esteemed President General, Comrade Emordi Ugochukwu Caleb, as a Special Assistant on Youths, marking the fulfillment of your promise at the July Town Hall Meeting to select young and credible Youths to work alongside your office to facilitate developmental initiatives across the nation.
