Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State and the Conference of Civil Society for Transparency and Accountability, COCTA, have commended the Managing Director, Federal Road Maintenance Agency, FERMA, Dr. Chukwuemeka Agbasi, for his transformative work in road maintenance and management across Nigeria.
Governor Idris, lauded FERMA for its outstanding work in rehabilitating and reconstructing federal roads in the state.
The governor made the commendation when he received on a courtesy visit, the Minister of State for Works, Alhaji Bello Goronyo in Birnin Kebbi
This is as In the Conference of Civil Society for Transparency and Accountability, COCTA, has hailed Dr. Agbasi for his exceptional leadership and proactive approach to road maintenance and repairs.
COCTA National Coordinator, Comrade Haruna Okatahi, in a statement noted that under Dr. Agbasi’s leadership, “FERMA has made significant strides in road maintenance and management, introducing innovative solutions that have positively impacted many Nigerians.”
Okatahi further said, “Dr. Agbasi’s transformational leadership has ushered in a new era of road maintenance in Nigeria. His commitment to transparency, accountability, and excellence has raised the bar for road maintenance agencies in the country.
“As FERMA continues to push the boundaries of innovation and excellence, Nigerians can look forward to safer, more efficient, and better-maintained roads.”
He explained that COCTA has been keeping a close eye on FERMA’s projects,” adding that it has identified significant road rehabilitation work done by FERMA in multiple locations across Nigeria.
“Some of the states where these projects have been identified include Oyo, Kwara, Ekiti, Cross River, and several others,” Okatahi explained
