A former Minister of State for Transportation, Prince Ademola Adegoroye, has praised President Bola Tinubu for appointing Chief Femi Adekambi as the Managing Director of the Benin-Owena River Basin.

Adegoroye described the appointment as Tinubu’s way of rewarding Ondo State for its support in the last Presidential election.

In a statement issued in Akure, the state capital, Adegoroye expressed confidence that Adekambi would bring positive change to the agency.

While urging Adekambi to seize the opportunity to demonstrate his capabilities, Adegoroye thanked President Tinubu for entrusting Adekambi with the position.

The statement reads: “I am glad that President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has shown appreciation for Chief Femi Adekambi’s outstanding contributions as one of the leading figures of SWAGA in Ondo State during the Presidential election campaign.

“Despite facing challenges with a previous appointment, it is heartening that President Tinubu has fulfilled his promise by appointing Chief Adekambi to a role where he can prove his worth and further demonstrate his commitment to Ondo State.

“We thank Mr. President for this appointment, which signifies his recognition of Ondo State’s unparalleled contribution to his election.”

Adegoroye concluded by urging Adekambi to work diligently to fulfill his mandate and make Ondo State proud.
