Bilarteral, a leading promoter of African arts, has announced the participation of five emerging Nigerian artists in the prestigious Afrikin Art Fair holding on the sidelines of the Art Basel Miami during the ongoing Miami Art Week 2024.
All artists, it said, are being represented by Bilarteral at the art week.
This milestone achievement, according to Bakare Mubarak, Founder/Artistic Director, Bilarteral, is a testament to the organisation’s commitment to providing a global stage for African artists as well as well as their Diasporan contemporaries, to shine.
“The selected artists, namely: Hansel Pam, John Akande, Okeoghene Adrew, Omoyeni Arogunmati, and Silas Abrifor, will have their works exhibited alongside other international artists, offering a unique opportunity for global art enthusiasts to experience the richness and diversity of African art.
“Doba Afolabi, Bilarteral’s star artist, is also featured at the fair, further solidifying the organisation’s reputation for nurturing and promoting exceptional talents,” Mubarak said.
“We are thrilled to see our artists receive international recognition. This achievement is a testament to the incredible talent and creativity of African artists, and we are proud to be a part of their journey,” he added.
The Afrikin Art Fair, running concurrently alongside Art Basel Miami, provides a platform for artists, collectors, critics and art enthusiasts to connect and celebrate the best of contemporary African art.
