Two top technology institutions in Nigeria, Technology distributor, TD Africa and Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., are worried by the spate of cyber attacks on Nigerian businesses.

They have however, decided to join forces to explore innovative approaches towards mitigating the risks.

TD is a frontline technology products distributor while Check Point is cybersecurity company. Both have penned the partnership towards enhancing Nigeria’s cybersecurity resilience. 

Assistant General Manager, TD Africa, Abiodun Idowu, said his company was not only dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technology solutions, but also to ensure the digital footprint of the country is safe and secure. He added: “This partnership with Check Point reflects our commitment to providing advanced tools that safeguard businesses against today’s complex cyber threats.” 

Also, Check Point’s Security Manager, Victor Ugwu, said the significance of the partnership in strengthening cybersecurity frameworks in Nigeria, is to strengthen Nigeria’s digital economy, adding: “With the collaboration with TD Africa, we aim to deploy innovative solutions like Harmony and CloudGuard, which TD now offers, to protect organisations across the country.”

TD Africa also offers Check Point’s Email Collaboration solutions, incorporating Secure Access Service Edge, SASE, technology to enable secure connectivity for remote and hybrid work environments.

 The partnership also ensures that businesses of all sizes in Nigeria, get CloudGuard, an end-to-end cloud security solution, and Quantum Firewall appliances, which scale to meet the needs of businesses of all sizes.
