Former coach of the Eagles, Adegboye Onigbinde has rescinded his decision to quit the technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation. Onigbinde made the U-turn after he was persuaded by  Nigerians in CAF and FIFA committees during their meeting in Lagos yesterday.

In a chat with Sports Vanguard, chairman of Nigerians in CAF and FIFA, Dominic Oneya said, “we  persuaded the chief to change his mind because as a CAF and FIFA official, we reminded him that charity should begin at home. He cannot resign and leave Nigerian football naked.

“We told him that we needed his experience and guidance, particularly now that our football is on the decline. We are happy that he has agreed to return to the football house.”

Coach Onigbinde also confirmed his decision to return to the technical committee of the house saying, “I am ready to return to the NFF technical committee and contribute my quota to the development of the game in Nigeria.
