Veteran comedian Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, popularly known as Ali Baba, was celebrated last Sunday as an iconic figure in Nigerian comedy at the Ojez Forum, rebranded as The Forum by Ojez.

Ali Baba received an award of excellence for his contribution to the Nigerian comedy industry.

Elated Ali Baba shared insights from his remarkable journey spanning three decades in show business. He emphasized that his role extends beyond personal success saying “it encompasses nurturing the next generation of comedians by providing them with platforms, mentorship, and opportunities. True success is about lifting others.

The event featured performances by blind musicians and a dance performance by Crazy Legs. The blind musicians delivered a captivating medley, earning a standing ovation and a surprise invitation to perform at Ali Baba’s annual Spontaneity Concert.
