The National Union of Shop and Distributive Employees, NUSDE, has elected Aminu Megbontowon as president.

This came as Augustine Nwakolam was confirmed substantive General Secretary of the union. at the 6th Quadrennial and 13th National Delegates’ Conference, NDC, in Ibadan, Oyo State. Bethrand Nnamani was elected deputy president.
In the conference that was witnessed by Registrar of Trade Union, RTU, Controllers of Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, Lagos and Oyo states, Chairman of Oyo State Council of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, employers and other guests, Bennard Imokhai, was equally elected deputy president.
Others were Tony Kwentoa, Philip Damissah, Joseph Akowe and Emeka Nwoke, vice- presidents, and Lamina Taiwo, national treasurer.
Similarly, while Chinedu Nwekiriko, Wasilat Popoola and Edward Abulokwe, were elected as national trustees, Jumoke Adebayo was elected as national auditor.
In the same vein, 10 members of the National Executive Council, NEC, were confirmed.
They include Cherish Ogenyi, Ngozi Uzoma, Ndagiwa Mohammed, Eric Esuma, Kolawole Komolafe, Usman Saheed, Thompson Emmanuel, Seun Oshinneye, Odubayo Abdul and Kemi Oni.
