The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has conferred its prestigious Fellowship on the Honourable Commissioner for Urban Renewal in Delta State, Engr. Michael Anoka.
Engr Michael Anoka is an accomplished mechanical and production engineer, project consultant and a public servant.
His elevation to the status of Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers took place at the formal ceremony held at Conference Hall, Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Airport Road, Abuja, on Monday.
The Delta Commissioner, Engr. Anoka was among the distinguished 211 engineers from across the country who were honoured with the fellowship.
Engr. Anoka’s election to the status of Fellow of the NSE was approved by the Council of the Society during its meeting on September 5, 2024.
The conferment by the NSE led by the President/Chairman In-Council, Engr Margaret Aina Oguntala FNSE, is in recognition his remarkable contributions to the field of engineering in Nigeria, as well as the lasting impact he has made across various sectors of Nigerian society.
Also, Engr. Anoka has consistently served as an inspiration to younger generations, with his work and leadership.
In his acceptance speech, Engr. Michael Anoka FNSE, dedicated the fellowship to the youths of Delta State, especially those pursuing careers in the professional sectors. He encouraged them to remain focused, persistent, and committed to reaching the highest echelons of their respective fields.
While expressing gratitude to the NSE, Engr. Michael Anoka FNSE also extended heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, for his unwavering support. He praised the Governor for his leadership and for motivating the people of Delta State to strive for excellence in their chosen professions and leadership.
