Vice President Kashim Shettima is participating in the official launch of Grand Challenges Nigeria (GCNg) Initiative currently ongoing at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The initiative is designed to drive innovation and solve critical health and development challenges in Nigeria including malnutrition.
It focuses on leveraging innovation to improve health outcomes, foster gender equality, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the Nigerian context.
Grand Challenges Nigeria also strives to make the biggest possible difference, save the most lives possible, and unlucky the power of innovations through its multi sectoral engagement.
Other stakeholders participating in the Programme include the Minister of Innovation, science and Technology, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnajo, the Emir of Kano and Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria, His Highness, Muhammed Sanusi II, President, Nutrition Society of Nigeria, Professor Salisu Maiwada Abubakar, as well as the Programme Director and Technical Lead Grand Challenges Nigeria, Professor Folake Samuel among others.
