Rising actress, Omotola Odunsi, popularly known as Omotola the Actor, has opened up about her preferences in a partner and the challenges she faces in her personal life.

Speaking with Popourri the actress revealed that she frequently receives unexpected and sometimes embarrassing messages from admirers—particularly from younger men.

“I get many embarrassing messages.The most surprising ones come from underage guys asking me out and calling me romantic names. It’s obvious they’re too young, so I just ignore them.

When asked if it is difficult for actresses to find love, Omotola acknowledged that it can be challenging due to public perception. “People often believe that we are the characters we play in movies,” she explained. “But that’s a misconception; our roles don’t define who we truly are.”

The actress also revealed her eagerness to take on diverse roles, expressing interest in characters such as a deeply-in-love “lover girl,” a streetwise “tout,” and an “aggressive housewife.” Omotola, who is a protégé of Nollywood star Odunlade Adekola, hopes to bring versatility to her craft.

As for her ideal partner, Omotola emphasized the importance of age and maturity. “My man has to be older than me—and not just older, but mature. I want someone I can look up to and respect,” she stated. “Respect is essential for me, whether in a relationship or marriage.”
