The General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Nigeria, Rev. Abel Amadi, has called on Christians, especially church members, to focus on cultivating kingdom-centered disciples.

Speaking at the ongoing 2024 Peniel Convention themed “Dominion Through The Light” at the Evangel International Conference Center in Okpoto, Ebonyi State, Rev. Amadi emphasized the importance of spreading the gospel, aligning with Jesus Christ’s command to make disciples of all nations.

Opening the convention, Rev. Amadi highlighted the moral decline in today’s world and urged believers to be moved with compassion to reach out to the multitude in need of salvation. He also appealed for unity among members to effectively draw more souls to God’s kingdom, stating that the convention aims to revive the church and enhance its impact.

“The great commission is an ongoing call,” he said. “We must renew our commitment to this task by equipping believers to take charge in all spheres of life. PENIEL 2024 – Dominion Through the Light will be unforgettable, igniting the passion for evangelism and discipleship among us.”

He added, “As we gather here, I urge you to rely fully on the Holy Spirit. May His presence enlighten your path, empower your worship, and guide your interactions.”

Guest speakers at the convention include Dr. John Aniemeke, Dr. Benjamin Dike, and Deaconess Chinyere Okocha, with music ministry led by Sinach, Preye Odede, and the church choir.

Peniel is an annual convention where Assemblies of God Nigeria members gather to thank God for His grace over the past year and seek His guidance for the year ahead.
