Chemical and Allied Products (CAP) Plc, a subsidiary of UAC of Nigeria, has stated that commitment to innovation and collaboration in Nigeria’s design industry is key to moving the industry forward.

The company demonstrated this commitment through its recent sponsorship of Design Week Lagos 2024.

The event’s official paint partner and supplier, CAP Plc showcased its flagship brand, Dulux, highlighting its role in creating vibrant and inspiring spaces across the African continent.

Held from October 23-27, 2024, in Lekki, is celebrated as the premier design event in Africa, spotlighting the latest in contemporary African architecture, interior and product design, and industrial creativity. CAP Plc’s partnership at the event reinforced its ongoing commitment to empowering the design ecosystem, supporting architects, interior designers, and product innovators.

MD/CEO of CAP Plc, Bolarin Okunowo, during the panel session on “Fostering Collaboration within the Built Environment,”highlighted the importance of unity and shared goals within Nigeria’s design industry.

The event also featured an Innovation Workshop led by Charles Michael, Capability Manager at CAP Plc, where architects and designers engaged in hands-on activities showcasing Dulux’s advanced techniques. Attendees learned how CAP Plc’s products can enhance architectural and interior design projects, while experiencing first-hand the company’s range of finishes and proprietary paint systems.

Beyond workshops and exhibitions, attendees at the Design Week Lagos event enjoyed exclusive giveaways from CAP Plc, underscoring the company’s commitment to the design community. This gesture reinforced CAP Plc’s dedication to supporting creatives in crafting a colorful and inspiring Africa.
