The National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Council (NANS JCC), Osun Axis, has raised concerns over certain individuals, impersonating the student body in the state.

Addressing newsmen in Osogbo on Tuesday, the chairman, NANS JCC, Solomon Abel, disclosed that some of the individuals are no longer students, noting that the association will not accommodate any form of impersonation.

He charged security agencies to take decisive action against the impersonators, noting that such actions harm the integrity of NANS.

He stated that, “we have been made aware that some individuals, some of whom have graduated and are no longer students, are parading themselves as leaders of NANS JCC in Osun. These individuals are impostors and should be completely ignored going forward.

“We urge them to desist from such actions, as they are detrimental to our organization’s image and integrity. We will not tolerate any further impersonation. We urge security agencies to take necessary action against these impostors.”

Meanwhile, while pledging to prioritize students’ welfare, Abel, affirmed his commitment to advocate for their interests and to address their needs effectively.

Abel further revealed that his administration will collaborate with the state government, private sector, and civil societies in a bid bridge the gap between students and opportunities in technology, entrepreneurship, and the arts.
