In the vibrant Nigerian art scene, Adewole Oluwadamilola Victoria, a dynamic and multifaceted artist, is making waves with her innovative blend of visual art, spoken word, and crochet. With a trajectory marked by consistent growth and recognition, Victoria is steadily gaining momentum as a creative force to be reckoned with.

A Journey Through LIMCAF and Beyond

Victoria’s artistic trajectory gained momentum in 2022 when she showcased her talents at the Life In My City Art Festival (LIMCAF) Regional exhibition in Ibadan. Her impressive display earned her a spot at the 2022 LIMCAF Grand Finale in Enugu. This achievement was followed by consecutive features in the LIMCAF Regional exhibitions in Zaria in 2023 and 2024.
Her artistic prowess also led to collaborations with Orisun Gallery, Art4Democracy, and Yiaga Africa in 2024, further cementing her reputation as a rising star in the art world. Additionally, Victoria has participated in various exhibitions organized by smaller organizations, demonstrating her commitment to sharing her art with diverse audiences.

The Spoken Word Dimension
Beyond visual art

Victoria has established herself as a compelling spoken word artist. She has graced stages at Molete Baptist Church (2021), Living Faith Church (2024), and Orisun Gallery’s Art4Democracy event (2024). Her thought-provoking words also resonated with audiences during the book review of “Tales of the Regimented” by Enitan Mayowa in 2024.

Crochet: A New Frontier

In a bold move, Victoria is now focusing on crochet as her primary medium. Her inaugural crochet piece debuted at LIMCAF, propelling her to the grand finale. Although her recent application for another exhibition wasn’t successful, she remains undeterred.
As Victoria enters her final year, she’s dedicated to exploring the vast creative possibilities of crochet. This unique medium will be the cornerstone of her final year project and individual vision, promising to push boundaries and challenge conventional notions of art.
