Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State has charged students from the state in Nigerian Law School to regard themselves as agents of change and entrepreneurship in the development of the country.
Akpabio gave the advice during an interaction with a cross section of the students undertaking studies at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos.
Akpabio, who expressed delight at the level of preparations by the students to take up responsibilities in the profession through appropriate dressing code, expressed satisfaction with the number of students in the team, from some of the new generation universities, saying, such institutions had started creating impact in the Nigerian society.
The governor urged the students to consider all forms of challenges during the one year period of studies as stepping stones of success in future, stressing that once they were able to go through, the future was guaranteed with opportunities in all socio – economic and political sectors of the country.
He said: “You must see yourselves as agents of change. No form of difficulties should be a hindrance to your success. I am here to encourage you, once you are through from this one year studies the future will be better than today.”
